The word wiki sounds like, well, I envision a man from a unknown tribe in a brown grass skirt, holding a spear, has a tooth from some animal through his nose, no shoes (obviously) and very brown. His tribe must be close to the equator, the closer to the equator, the browner the skin. I hear his language and he says "wiki". He smiles, are you smilin'?! So, I am enlightened by the short video of Lee Lefever. It sounds simple and that's just how it needs to be, simplified for everyone to understand. No, mumbo gumbo in the middle, just a nice thank you to Lee Lefever for all his simplified videos.
I requested to sign up for the State Library wiki. I did click on the examples that were given. I did ask myself, why after placing a wiki together would these people want others to edit it, lightbulb, only members can edit. But, what if someone is really ticked off at the website and do destructive things. I think the world changes without others thinking about items first. Much like, think before you speak.
So, I am a member of the library wiki. I have opened the emails, but I have not found the time to read any of the changes, will I notice what has been changed or what will be changed, I don't know. Where is there time in the day to fit more things such as this, I don't know. Not today.
So, enjoy tomorrow.
