Lesson 7 – WorldCat & more FirstSearch Indexes
Hello!
1) You want to know if it’s possible to borrow a non-fiction book about Martin Luther, 4-5th graders of Sunday school class. Typing in WorldCat Martin Luther, I wasn’t even thinking once the large number appeared of course it mixes in with Martin Luther King. Retyping Luther Martin and then drop down box for Notes/Comments grade 4-5 and limited to books knocking the number down to 52. Forward with Christ (1940) a volume in a series of graded Sunday school textbooks issued by the Board of Elementary Education “Luther’s” small catechism. This book might provide guidance and located in seminary’s stretching across the nation, closest MN. Retyping Martin Luther as title and drop down for allowing multiple results two books caught my eye. “Out of the Storm:the Life and Legacy of Martin Luther” the books examines the life of Martin Luther exploring his achievements and faults and discussing not only Christianity but the Western culture, located at Siouxland, Brookings Public and Watertown. Picking up an author’s name in a list of other titles, I did author search of Martin E Marty. Martin Luther (2004) ‘a story of immense spiritual passion & amazing grace.’ This title is located at NOS, SDD, SDF, SDA and SBR in South Dakota. A choice of books for the teacher.
2) Your library doesn’t have many graphic novels. Searching for graphic novels and drop down to descriptor and classics with keyword with a result of 291 books adding the title Jule Verne’s Around the World in Eighty Days.
3) Local theater director My Fair Lady, vocal score. Keyword search of vocal score and title of My Fair Lady limiting to musical scores with results of 110, the Accession: 694060069 is the musical score chosen. “Wouldn’t it be lovely” to know that I am caught up, yea!
