Lesson 6 - Ebooks on Ebscohost (formerly NetLibrary)

Hello! Behind again, but working hard to catch up. 1) Try out the "Visual Search" feature. I watched the tutorial, which was helpful and somewhere in my searching, I clicked on a button and it reappeared. I typed in the offered "South Dakota" with a result of 126 items. Keeping with columns which was easier for me to read. I chose Vocation Guidance reulting in 2 items. The items dated to 1999 & 2000, scrolling up I chose South Dakota - Social Life again 2 results 'Bachelor Bess' (1990) and 'Nothing but Prairie & Sky' (1988). As I scrolled up clicking on items, the results would often reflect previous items. I was able to drag several boxes but unable to open. I clicked on the original 126 results located on the left column. I did locate 'Bachelor Bess', opened and began to read. I could jump over pages, enlarge the font, download, change languages or read full text. Any age would benefit from this useful tool. Easy access and the early kindle?!  2)You and your grandmother are talking about childhood books. In the main search box I typed in fairy tales and 82 results were found. As of interest I scrolled through the list and in front of me were 4 fairy tale books in colors. The Violet Fairy book. The Blue Fairy Book. The Yellow Fairy Book and The Red Fairy Book. Unsure there wasn't one more I opened the Yellow Fair Book and the Preface beings: "THE editor thinks that children will readily forgive him for publishing another Fairy Book. We have the Blue, the Red, the Green, and here is the Yellow." So, there was one more, the Green.
